The limited quantity of grapes was harvested and pressed within a few hours producing a golden nectar at 37 brix. The juice was fermented in a cool area of the winery, rendering an incredible product.
Point of the Bluff Vineyards 2012 Riesling Icewine
Tasting notes: Golden yellow in color. This Icewine is complex with apricot, white peach and hints of orange peel. It's rich palate is balanced with a crisp acidity.
Pairing: Enjoy on its own or pair with desserts including chocolate, vanilla ice cream and aged sharp cheddar cheese.
Viticulture: These grapes are left on the vine well into the winter months. This 2012 vintage was harvested in the frosty early morning hours of December 26th.
